The Savoy Hotel is a luxury colonial boutique hotel in Yangon, committed to a very personalized service. There are 3 restaurants within Savoy Hotel along with an amazing swimming pool and exceptional customer service. The hotel is just 30 minutes from Yangon's airport, and a short car journey into downtown.
The pool with its lounge area makes the Savoy Hotel a silent oasis in the middle of the buzzing city.
Yangon (formerly Rangoon) is the largest city in Myanmar (formerly Burma). A mix of colonial architecture, modern high-rises and gilded Buddhist pagodas define its skyline. Its famed Shwedagon Paya, a huge, shimmering pagoda complex, draws thousands of pilgrims annually. The city's other notable religious sites include the Botataung and Sule pagodas, both housing Buddhist relics. But Yangon has so many other unique assets to offer. I would absolutely recommend at least a few days. New Restaurants and cafes serving both local delicacies and international cuisine are popping up all over the city. Come and explore!
All 24 deluxe rooms and six suites express the charm of “the old days” with traditional Myanmar antiques, teak furniture and spacious bathrooms. Nicely overshadowed by tall old trees, the large pool with its lounge area makes the Savoy Hotel a silent oasis in the middle of the buzzing city.
The nearest airport is Yangon International Airport, just a 20 minute drive from the property. Driving distance to the city centre is just 10 minutes.
The climate of Yangon is tropical. The three general seasons are: Hot and dry (March – May), Rainy (June – October), Cooler and drier (November – February). While Yangon can easily be visited at any time of year, it is best to go after the rainy season from November to January when it is somewhat cooler, and not so humid.
