LOCATION
Pindaya is a little town in the beautiful Shan State, the verdant eastern part of Myanmar that borders Thailand. It’s 500km north east of Yangon and 200km south of Mandalay and less than 90 minutes away from Inle Lake.
Pindaya Farm House is set on 30 acres of land just 5 minutes outside of Pindaya. It’s a short drive into the town or a 30-minute stroll through the fields.
Pindaya Farm House is a new farmhouse constructed in the traditional Shan way. It has five rooms, all of which combine Shan elegance with modern style and comfort.
The easiest way is to fly to Heho. There are frequent flights from Yangon and Mandalay and even from Bagan. From Heho it’s a gorgeous 45-minute drive. Transfers can also be easily arranged from Inle Lake, Kalaw or Taunggyi.
Pindaya is lovely year round. From November to January the days are temperate and the nights are chilly. From February to May is very hot, although the nights are still cool. June to October is the wet season. There’s still plenty of sunshine but it’s a good idea to bring an umbrella.
