Boulder Bay Eco Resort is a brand new, eco friendly resort, in the Mergui Archipelago of Myanmar. Situated a 5 hour boat drive from Myanmar's mainland, you are quite literally in the most secluded location possible. The 10 bungalows that make up the resort are an absolute dream to stay in, as you connect with nature, and explore the untouched pristine beaches. An absolute must to stay in.
Opening it's doors for the very first time in October 2017, Boulder Bay Eco Resort is sure to take Myanmar by storm, offering the ideal place to explore and see the beautiful Mergui Archipelago from.
Boulder Bay Eco Resort is located in the Mergui Archipelago. The resort is a 5 hour boat journey from the town of Kawthaung, which is situated in the southernmost part of Myanmar. Kawthaung can be easily reached by direct flight from Yangon, or by crossing the boarder from Thailand through Ranong.
The property has just 10 room,s all of which are positioned right on the edge of the beach. Each bungalow looks out onto the gorgeous Boulder Bay, with the sound of waves sending you to sleep every night. There are 3 room categories to choose from, but our recommendation would be the Superior Bungalow.
You're not going to be lacking for things to do, that's for sure. There's a main reception and communal area where food is served which is the hub of the resort. From here you can take kayaks, snorkeling equipment or deck chairs out onto the beach and sea. There's also WiFi available so you can keep in touch with friends, making them extremely jealous in the process.
During your stay you'll be treated to 3 meals a day, which are all included in the price of your stay and served in the main reception area communally. You'll be dining on freshly caught fish along with other traditional Myanmar curries, salads and soups with your fellow guests. All the food is cooked in the resorts kitchen
